PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND OVERVIEW

Preamp Type: 500 Series Solid State Preamp

-The Liverpool Mic Pre employs a high-nickel Input transformer that  is based on the Iconic Sound Techniques System 12 console, circa 1969. The Mic circuit is proprietary and a new design created by our team in West Yorkshire, England.

-Input Amplifier. High-performance IC designed for low-noise and low-distortion audio applications.

-Output circuit: Precision cross-coupled, electronically balanced output driver.

-THD is better than .0025% from 100Hz to 30kHz rising to 0.045% at the low frequency of 20Hz.   0.0018% with 0dBu input and output, filters switched out.

-Gain switching id via 6dB steps from 0dB to +60dB, +70 with Max Trim, employing custom ELMA step switches. The front panel Gain switch drives a bank of gold contact relays. The Liverpool’s combination of gain and trim control enable it to be equally well suited for microphone and line-level inputs.

-EIN (Equivalent Input Noise). Better than -124db @60dB of Gain.

-Phantom Power: Slow rise and slow fall circuitry when +48 is switched on or off. This is ideal when using delicate microphones.

-Polarity (Phase Reverse): Yes.

-High-pass filters with 18dB per octave roll-off at 36Hz, 60Hz, 105Hz, 185Hz and 330Hz.

-Low-pass filters with 18dB per octave roll-off at 3.9kHz, 5.6kHz, 8.2kHz, 12kHz and 16kHz.

Frequency response: +0.1dB to -0.3dB 20Hz to 30kHz at any gain setting.

Level meter:  7-segment LED, true VU level meter, provides indication at 6dB steps covering the range -20dBu to +16dBu (-24dB VU to +12dB VU)

The peak level LED has a user-definable illumination point that is triggered at one of 6 levels that are jumper-selectable, Located on the main PCB.
